Time is flying ladies and gentlemen! I can't believe that exactly a month from today, I'll be
celebrating my 1 year wedding anniversary. It's crazy to me that a year can go by so fast.
This time last year I was going crazy trying to plan everything...I was running around like a
chicken with my head cut off. Flowers, stationary, bridal party, photographer, video, I was
fully immersed. At one point we were planning to elope because we were over the
whole thing, but in the end, everything turned out perfect.
Besides "the event" (because a wedding is only one day people - don't go broke), I love being married! I really enjoy it. I know most people today equate marriage with death - but I can honestly say that I've never felt more secure and fearless . . . I think that's because I know that I have someone behind me who supports whatever I do and is there to catch me should I fall. It's an amazing feeling.
I have four more weeks to go until I see him again :( The only good thing about me being sick is that I've been staying at my moms house so she can take care of me (cause I'm a big ass baby) so I haven't been home alone, laying in his closet in a feeble position while sniffing his clothes...crying of course. Oh my gosh, the first night alone was torture for me - but enough of that!!!
Anyway, I'm trying to plan a romantic weekend for us in NYC and have a surprise that I'm working on that will be my gift to him - he's gonna love it! My Cousin Kimi made a resturant recommendation to me for a place in Times Square, I've also been dying to go Serendipity III, and I've got a couple other places things on my wishlist - but who knows where we'll end up...I am very excited!!! I'm also finally picking out my wedding photos (can you imagine), so we'll finally have some photos to put up in our new place, unlike our apartment here in South Florida.
Hope everyone is having a great day - I got a couple things at the beauty supply that I'll share with you all tomorrow and also, don't forget to enter my giveaway at the post below. By the way, is anyone else excited about the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills tonight? This is gonna be total fantasy tv - wealth, botox, implants - everything my life is not - I can't wait!!! Atlanta and Beverly Hills at the same time - love it!
