Yesterday I did 90 mph after an interview to meet up with my cousins and a friend to see The Weeknd. I thought I was going to miss the show, but I MADE SURE that ticket didn't go to waste.
We thought we got there early enough to get a good spot on the line, but it was crazy and continued to wrap around the building after we secured our spot. I made friends with the two nicest girls ever, who had driven a few hours just to see the performance. Since we were on line for a few hours, it only made sense to meet some new people :) What else is there to do?
Kim MURDERED this outfit! I of course, forgot to bring a change of clothes since I went straight to her house after the interview. I spotted a dress in her moms sewing room and asked if I could borrow it. Lucky for me, the dress was too short for my aunt, so she told me I could have it! Being 4'11 comes in handy some times.
Mr. Abel Tesfaye was supposed to hit the stage around 7pm...but didn't appear till 9pm. I was PISSED at first, but he totally made up for it. His voice is magical, lol! I love this guy! We'd been hearing mixed reviews about The Weeknd's live performances, but he was absolutely incredible! Poor Kimi sang her heart out to him and more than likely has no voice this morning. I think she may have also cried at some point, lol. I'm not going to lie, I almost lost it a little when he performed "Dirty Diana" - please click that link if you've never heard his version. I promise your life will change. He also performed another one of my favorites - Trust Issues...and of course, his mainstream hit with Drake, "Crew Love"!
I've always liked The Weeknd's music, but I wasn't as big of a fan as Kim - last nights concert changed that for me though - I'm downloading everything! lol.
Here's one of the videos I recorded..
Are any of you ladies fans of "The Weeknd"?
It's now a prerequiste of mine for making new friends going forward.
